Drawing and painting has always played an important role in my working life.
On leaving art school I spent some time as a wallpaper designer, then in
advertising and then as a book designer. For most of the time however I worked
as a freelance illustrator, working on amongst other things children's books for
Penguin. and chinaware for Royal Doulton.
Following that I spent some years designing and making stained glass windows
decorative leaded lights.
In recent years I have spent my creative time almost exclusively painting and
drawing. While I enjoy painting still life and figure subjects it is the challenge of
plein air painting that really grips me at the moment.
I lam an active member of Dorking Group of Artists and
Surrey Hills Plein Air Painters.
