About

Drawing and painting has always played an important role in my working life. On leaving art school I spent some time as a wallpaper designer, then in advertising and then as a book designer. For most of the time however I worked as a freelance illustrator, working on amongst other things children's books for Penguin and chinaware for Royal Doulton.
More recently I have been designing and making stained glass windows and decorative leaded lights. My particular interest has been to create pictorial panels using the traditional methods of paint, stain and enamels.
I have now ceased this activity to spend all the time I can painting and drawing. I am an active member of the North Weald Art Group, the Dorking Art Group, Surrey Figurative Artists and Surrey Hills Plein Air Painters.
